I think it would be hard to make a backgound check on every person you meet before you can consider tyem as a friend. the best way to find friends even in online is to have a lot of conversation and time with them online, try to know theme more be making friends with them. I met my friend Dorinda online and now we're best of friend, we go out often on weekends and she turned out to be great.
