TURN ON'S

sun sets and sun rise, seeing each day and watching my kids grow and learn. Seeing my kids show compassion towards others. Helping people, meeting new people and getting to know them. People that are at ease with themselves and the world around them. kind thoughtful people.knowing people that don't have the "its all about me syndrome". life in general. I guess I like realism also. Fantasy doesn't really make you happy, it's exactly what it is a fantasy. Life is real and when you are happy being who you are then you can really start to love and live life!

ABOUT ME

grew up on a cattle ranch in eastern Oregon. Spent time in the military. I have traveled and have enjoyed and learned many different things and am still learning. When I quit learning and growing as a person it will be the time to die. When I was younger I was quite a party animal and thought that I was enjoying life, Then I realized that was'nt life it was just a blur. So now I truly enjoy seeing and living life through clear eyes and mind. Life is really a remarkable gift.

You sound like an interesting person. About the age of my middle kids. I have five - four boys, one girl. I've been an agriculture reporter for the past 30 years for a mid-Atlantic newspaper. I love my job and am way past retirement age. I hope I never have to 'retire'. I travel the region in pursuit of stories that will advance ag, farmers, etc. I recently published my first book, I Studied To Be An Opera Singer, But I Married A Cowboy, a book of cowboy stories - all true, and am working on another about growing up during the Great Depression, WWII, and coming of age during Korea, Nam, the sixties.. We were both big city kids and we bred and raised Angus cattle most of our married life. My husband died of Lyme Disease after 51 incredible years of marriage. He really was a top notch cattleman and we moved around a good bit, always in pursuit of a better herd of cattle. I also sing and play guitar with a folk group and we perform regularly at senior centers, nursing homes, etc. I love that also and have written a couple of songs. My kids have all been involved with livestock, 4-H, etc. As you can see, I love to write and learn about new people and new things. I love music, all kinds, even (Classic) Rock, no Rap, and you should see the sunsets we get here reflecting off the Cheasapeake! And I don' have any sexy pictures to send since I am old and ugly now. I really was beautiful and I don't know quite when I got so ugly. But it really doesn't matter, I have the most incredible memories, family and friends.
